Egypt to Raise Cotton-Growing Area to 415,000 Acres This Year, Al Mal Says
Egypt is likely to increase the area sown with cotton to 400,000 feddans (415,000 acres) this year, Al Mal reported, citing Saad Nassar, an adviser to the agriculture minister.
In 2010, the North African country devoted 327,000 feddans to cotton, the newspaper said.
