Tanzanian Cotton Production May Increase 53% Amid Rising Prices, News Says
Tanzanian cotton production may jump 53 percent this season as farmers plant more of the crop to benefit from higher prices, the Daily News reported.
Output may rise to 250,000 metric tons from 163,000 tons last season, the Dar es Salaam-based newspaper said, citing Marco Mtunga, director general of the Tanzania Cotton Board.
