Tanzanian cotton output to leapfrog by 50%
Just as farmers across cotton producing countries of the world plan to reap benefits of rising cotton prices, Tanzanian farmers also plan to follow suit.
Cotton output is expected to leapfrog by more than 50 percent in the next cotton season, mainly due to an increase in acreage, as more farmers sow cotton.
Cotton production is expected to jump from 163,000 tons in the last season to around 250,000 tons in the upcoming season.
