Cotton prices down
Mumbai, Apr 18: Cotton prices came down hevily today on selling pressure from industrial users, traders at the Cotton Association of India (CAI) said.
Cotton varieties like Bengal Desi (RG) and Bengal Desi (SG) dropped by Rs 700 per candy each following lower buying support from industrial users.
LRA and H-4 also drifted lower by Rs 400 per candy each.
Sankara tumbled by Rs 300 per candy due to poor demand from local dealers, traders added.
Following are the cotton rate per candy (335.62 kg) in Rupees.
Bengal Desi (RG) Rs 48,200.
Bengal Desi (SG) Rs 49,200 V-797 Rs 40,000 Karnataka Jayadhar NT Y-1 Rs 54,000 Punjab-J-34 Rs 62,000 NHH-4 NT LRA Rs 51,100 H-4 Rs 53,500 S-6-A Rs 56,300 Bunny Brahma Rs 58,500 MCU-5 Rs 61,500 DCH Rs 63,300 ICC NT.
