Mexico Cotton Production May Rise This Year, USDA Says
Mexico’s cotton production may rise to 683,000 bales in the year that ends July 31, up from an estimated 411,000 bales the previous year, a unit of the U.S. Department of Agriculture said.
Imports of the fiber will climb to 1.6 million bales this season, up from an estimated 1.511 million a year earlier, the agency’s Foreign Agricultural Service said in a report dated March 15 and posted today on its website.
