Textile & cotton exports post sizeable growth
Makhdoom Amin Fahim ¬– Federal Minister for Commerce recently updated the National Assembly (NA) that textile and cotton exports have enhanced by 22.22 percent to $22 billion over the current fiscal year in comparison with the exports worth $18 billion dollar during the previous fiscal year.
The Minister said that 275 million kilograms of cotton yarns were exported during this fiscal year whereas it was 363 million kilograms during the last fiscal year. During the last fiscal year, the price of cotton yarns was high in the local market.
He further added that textile and cotton exports are rising due to the favorable policies adopted by the Pakistani government.
